Default Factory Screen Protector

Hello!s

I didnt realise it came with an existing screen protector and put another one, which looked awful so removed it but this has made a few bubbles on the factory one!! Is there any way to remove them without taking it off?

Cheers

Try using a credit card to smooth out the bubbles by pushing them out to the edge of the screen.

just look really closely at the edge of the screen at the top of the phone, you should be able to see the line. its near invisible i didnt know it was there until i read on the forum

Just pulled my preinstalled protector off as it was bugging me. Not sure I have done the right thing! The screen now feels a bit sticky even after a good clean. However the capacitive buttons do feel a bit more responsive.
Will report back after a couple of days without it.

update: I have given the screen and good clean with glass cleaner and the stickiness has gone. Now I'm happy I went ahead and removed the protector.

OMG, I never knew this! although after looking really really closely I believe there is another edge but just assumed it was the phone.
I've been using an additional protector and had problems with bubblingso this could explain it. Also bottom buttons are a little unresponsive. So questions are?

Do you really need to put another protector over the top?
Is the protector as good as the ones you apply your self and will it protect as well?

Very nervous to to remove the one I applied...

I thought the factory supplied screen protector was the one in the box you had to apply yourself.

So I applied it and it bubbled and the careen became less responsive.

Do they definitely come with a protector applied?
I don't want to assume, and risk a scratch!

That was exactly what I thought, especially as mine came with a screen protector that had a picture of how to remove the battery so assumed when you took it off it was the naked screen. Surely this should have been made clear in the instructions???

I left the factory fitted one in place and fitted the supplied one to, no issues with bubbling but there is a skill to fitting them lol. I did the same with my X10 and never had any issues with that either...

To the person having issues with the bottom buttons try sliding you're thumb or dinner over them rather than pressing them.

Wouldn't that make them messy? Although I suppose what you've just eaten for dinner might make a difference!

The Sony Xperia S doesn’t differ too much from the Ion: it features a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 12MP Exmor R camera sensor, and a 720p display, only here it is 4.3-inches in size. If it looks familiar, it’s because we have seen this... Read More
