Default Network speeds?

Just wondered what kind of speeds the xperia s can get?

Does it run HSPA+ or is it just HSPA?, i am currently an orignal galaxy s i9000 owner. I have been looking at this phone along with the galaxy nexus as my upgrade is due soon but i am torn between the two.

The Xperia S is no doubt the better looking phone the galaxy nexus looks ugly compared to this, but i do believe the galaxy nexus has the better software such as NAKED ICS and of course as its a google phone every update the galaxy nexus will be one of the first to get it. Nexus also has great battery life and offers faster network speeds.

I really don't know, do i go for looks of the xperia S or the power of the nexus

From the specs of the phone you can read it holds speeds up to 14.4 Mbit.
So you'l have to look at what your provider suply's you.
Here in the Netherlands the max is 14.4 Mbit.
I'm olso interrested what you all have ;-)

On three (3) UK, I have reached a speed of 7.2mb/s although I don't often check, this was the speed I got just now after reading your post.

I used SpeedTest.net app to test it

The Sony Xperia S doesn’t differ too much from the Ion: it features a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 12MP Exmor R camera sensor, and a 720p display, only here it is 4.3-inches in size. If it looks familiar, it’s because we have seen this... Read More
