1) You can use a different camera app. Some probably can do what she wants. There are tons of free ones, so start installing and trying.

2) She can convert (on a PC would be easiest) the video to an .avi file. I think that would be about the smallest it gets.

Also, email may be limited to 10MB (it depends on the email providers at both ends - the smaller limit applies). You can't put much video into 10MB.

Streaming or downloading it might be better way. There are loads of free video streaming scripts you can run on a PC that's running a web server (which is free - xampp ). Learn to set up a server (it's really trivial with xampp) and either find, install and run a streaming script, or just put the file on the server and email a link to whomever she wants to have the video. They can just download it from your server. (You'll have to forward port 80 in your router to that computer for downloading. For streaming it may be a different port - it depends on the script you find, but most of them have instructions. Don't use one that doesn't.)

(If you have a problem forwarding a port, go to portforward.com. They have pictures of the menus of most routers, so you can see exactly how to do it. And their forum has mods who know how to do it, and will talk you through it if you need that much help.)

I think if you switch the mode to manual instead of superior auto, switch to video, and select setting you can change resolution etc in there.
