Default Stock mail up

When I was using the HTC Sensation XE, any email I downloaded at the stock up stayed there even after it was deleted from the server. My Z1 does not seem to have an option to do that. Am I missing something or is this a feature? If the latter is the case, does anyone have any recommendations for a mail app that will do that?

Many thanks in advance!

It should be in the options setting of the stock app, if not then try solmail.

No, there are no options like that. I just removed the account and recreated, and this time I was given an option whether I want to synchronize this account or not. I chose not to, just to see whether that solves the issue of mail being removed from the device once it is gone from the server...

I just use the gmail app, but I recall K9 had the option to leave stuff on the server (might not, it's been ages since I used it).

Also take a look at the trial version of zeus mail: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leokay.windroid

K9 does have that. I use Kaiten (paid derivative) and it's the same in that respect.
