I cut a few more things out from Mat's, it currently has only US English installed. I'm hoping this weekend I can do some more testing and pull another 3MB out of the zip size. I also intend on removing beats at some point as some people have thought it is the cause of the reduced call volume and speaker volume.
It is not a "new Ron" I might get into changing other aspects and release an actual Ron. I've been "shrinking" Roms for a while now with my HTC Evo, as it had limited space, it just made sense to make the ROM with as little in it as possible, allowing the user (so far just myself and a couple of friends who also have/had the Evo) the option of adding what they want to use.
But with the spectrum, it is not really necessary, I only did it as I saw several comments about what was or was not included. I'll try and remember this weekend and I'll do one with adw launcher (what I use).
I know there are a couple of things I need to read up on, I'll have to pull up the "how to make your own ROM" thread I found last year.
I think what we need is an app that can build a clean ROM from an in use phone!
