Default [ROM] Spectrum Stock ROM v6 and Rooted & Debloated versions

Here's the v6 flashable Spectrum stock ROM. I've only seen nandroids and not one single flashable fully stock ROM.

Flash from recovery with CWM to install. Full Wipe.

Download:
Spectrum_Stock_ROM_v6.zip

Spectrum_Stock_Rooted_ROM_v6.zip

Spectrum_Stock_Deodexed Rooted_ROM_v6.zip

Spectrum_Stock_Debloated_Rooted Plus_v1.0.zip

Yes and no. Can't get LGime.apk keyboard to deodex along with a few other ones. Odexed is faster though.

deblot i am usually thinking of getting rid of all the apps that are useless. deodexed is nice for customizing because its makes it easier to theme.

some have to be done differently. all the roms that are out are fully deodexed. not sure what all had to be done to get them that way but all framework and app are.

I think MT was the only person able to get it fully deodexed. If I remember right Nitro had to get his help to get it done.

This is what was handed to me when I asked MT how he did it. Hopefully it will provide more useful to you then to me, as I never got around to the project.

Thanks, I'll check that out. The BrokenOut Rom has all of the completed deodexed files except for the LG keyboard, which I used to test a deodex Rom I had done. It used swipe as a keyboard which I hate.

i wonder if that has something to do with MT having issues getting it deodexed? So instead he just went wiht swipe, eclipse is the same way i do believe.

Hi MicroMod777,

I just downloaded the Spectrum Stock Deodexed Rotted Rom but when I go into CWM and try to install it, it says it's bad (corrupted) then it aborts the installation. Also, I tried opening the zip folder on my desktop (Windows XP) to see why it says it's bad, but it says file cannot open it's corrupted. It's anyone else experiencing the same problem as me. PLEASE HELP.

Oh, yeah I'm new to this site, I just signed up for it 5 minutes ago. :-)

Try again, sound like a bad download. I'll check mine and update here

Opened fine, both on my pc and on my phone using Rom tool box root browser.

If you have a rooted version you can use Titanium backup from play store to delete any app you have.

Btw, just installed the Spectrum ICS leak and its freaken amazing. Blows away our version. If I can find a way to pull the boot.img I'll make a flashable rom out of it.

Anybody know the adb commands to pull boot.img?

Hi,

I finally got it to work, the problem was that I downloaded the file through Firefox and found that that Firefox excludes certain files from a zip file download, supposibly the files that it determines are dangerous - it excludes them. That's why it said the file was corrupted. So, I downloaded it through regular internet browser and it worked just fine. As they say: "you always learn something new every day". I had no idea Firefox did that.

But I have another question: Now that I have the Deodexed Rom installed on my phone, once Verizon releases the update for ICS, should I updated via OTM or wait for one of you to post the Rooted ICM version in here???

the OTA will fail for you. 2 major reasons;
1. CWM
2. modfied rom

To take the OTA you have to have the stock recovery and an unmodied stock rom. IM sure one the oce drops some will release a nandroid for flashable zip of it though. Its really up to you if you want to wait, or go back to pure stock and take the ota. However if you take the ota you will more than likey have to reroot, as im sure it will kill root.

If VZW ever gets off their butt and releases the ICS OTA update, be aware that taking the OTA update will likely put a locked bootloader on your phone.

(And if so, this is my last LG device. Locking a bootloader after purchase is sneaky and mean and unacceptable and probably lawsuit worthy.)

So if you don't want a locked bootloader, don't take the update. Wait for either the leak or CM9/CM10 to get stable. Or maybe one of those will happen first, who knows...

thats exactly what im waiting for.... my old droid eris came with 2.2 now when i look through forums theres guides to unlocking the bootloader and to get s-off
mine(my friend has it now) can run any rom or kernel without all that crap... id much rather wait it out and avoid any issues like that.. aokp runs good enough for me... if i dont let it die

Thanks for the advise you two, but yeah you both are right I will just wait for the ICS version posted in here, I do not want a locked boot loader or re-root my phone again.
