A build box is just where ever you're building on. If it's dedicated, you can setup a cron job to run a bash script which runs your repo sync/git pull, copies whatever you may need to copy around, builds, then if you're able to push to your host by script... pushes to a host. If not, it would at least give you a build that you could upload without having to do the work by hand.

Pretty much anything you're doing on linux (with the exception of manually editing files) should be able to be scripted. Cron is just the daemon which runs tasks at scheduled times.

It may be easier to do it like this. Though if you're not great with scripting, it may cause you more headaches than it's worth.

Probably. Those were jsut the commits I could find specific to ribbons. Rom Control I believe is a seperate apk, just find the source for that apk and commit the changes.

Looks like this one,

HELLO!!! I have the LG SPECTRUM VS920 running ICS I think (4.0.4). Is this ROM for me? Will it work on my phone? I have spent the last 7 days searching and reading, looking for a semi-simple method of rooting this phone, and either having the ability to customize what I have, or install a custom ROM that will give me some FREEDOM!

Thank you for listening, and for all of your hard work at this forum.

Yes it will work but you have to root and unlock bootloader first. See the instructions posted in the reply to your post in the "post noob questions here" thread

Hey Azoller, first of all I live this ROM. Very smooth and the best battery I've had yet on a JB ROM. My only question is I noticed my max processor speed is 1.5. Do you recommend a different kernel I use to over clock or should I stick with this one? Kind of a noob so sorry if this a stupid question. Can't wait for the new build of Beanstalk. Thanks again

Well I can't do much for battery on the rom side it's more on how you use your phone and kernel settings for battery, but I'll try and get battery optimizations like toolchains or something else

Azoller is right. Probably 75% of getting good battery life depends on your settings and usage. 20% comes from having a good kernel and the other 5% is from the rom.

Trigger or Zoller, do either of you have any pointers or know of a resource which helps us understand which settings are killing our batteries? I'm using Icy 5.0 now because of the battery life but I dig the Beanstalk ROM, only problem is with minimal use, by the late afternoon, I sometimes need a sip from AC to get me through the day...... Can't wait for the new release.

I use Better Battery Stats. It will let you see exactly what is using battery.

Clean flash from cm10.1.3 stable acted as if it was in airplane mode. No signal at all. Imei, meid, and phone number werent showing in the settings.. For the few minutes I was on it. It felt pretty smooth.
I'm looking forward to this if signal can get fixed

See 1st post of Chameleon OS 0.8 JB 4.3 to get data back:

"BUGS:

-To get data working, after first boot, go to settings then click more under data usage, then click mobile networks, click system select and change to automatic, then click cdma subscription then click RUIM/SIM (it wont select it but trust me it works), then change network mode to cdma+lte/evdo if not already, then reboot and you should have data working (this is how i got it to work, may be other ways)"

It's working great for me as well and the only difference for me is that I had reboot to get 4G LTE which is normal for 4.3 on the LG Spectrum. Otherwise its a very nice rom, azoller1! EDIT: I'm getting a lot of reboots.

I plugged it into my pc and enabled usb debugging from within the rom and yes usb debugging shows up, so I'd assume it works.

As far as I know, that is only found in the stock-based roms. The general consensus was that if you could flash it to a different carrier on a stock-based rom, then flashing a new rom wouldn't mess it up afterwards.

I'm getting random reboots here and there but the main thing causing an issue is my lock screen disappears and I'm forced to battery pull. No known cause at the time and I don't have a USB cable (as of yet) to get you some cats. This was after a dirty install (upgraded from previous beanstalk) so I'll see if a clean one fixes any issues.

You won't really want to stop those for good unless you took in a different set of binaries or something. I made that as part of building differrent solutions into the kernel

4.3.1 build is up, instead of stopping mpdecision and thermald completely I instead just raised the thresholds a little bit to see if that helps because in theory you still want if running in case your phone does get to hot it will then shut down

Thumbs up Best ROM

I have to say, out of all the roms I've tried, I like this the best. I can't comment on battery life yet, but performance is amazing, and it's aesthetically pleasing. I also love the amount of customization that can be done to it. Thanks!!
