I'm a Bulls fan and a little upset that we didn't get him, but I'm really just glad he left Cleavland because I really dislike all of their teams and most of the people I have met from there (probably didn't need to say that but c'est la vie) anyway....I am still excited about the upcoming season and there are more moves to be made because teams have so much cap space now.
For Chicago I think once they can get a constant threat from outside they'll be a serious problem with the addition of Boozer. Miami got rid of Beasley they need to start filling up space they don't even need any specific players either just a couple guys that'll keep the locker room nice and inviting.
NY idk what they're doing I heard they traded Lee for what reason I do not know because after seeing them play I think he is all that they have. Granted I only watched like one game of them all season so I could be wrong here.
Cleavland hell Cleavland might as well just move the Cavs somewhere else like Seattle did lol
I'm calling OKC/LA for the west and idk maybe Boston/MIA or Orlando/MIA or depending on what else we do this off season Chicago/MIA
I don't make finals predictions because every year I get conference finals right and then get NBA Finals wrong. Should be an exciting year that is all

All depends on who else Miami can get around them. They only have 7 players on their roster right now and aside from the big 3, they all suck. They will only have a few million left to lure FAs. If I am a veteran FA looking to win a ring, I go to the Lakers before the Heat. They are back to back champions proving they can win, the Heat havent proven anything. Eric Spoelstra cant even carry Phil's gym bag and LA is a bigger market than Miami.
We already got Mike Miller who is a perfect compliment. He shot over 50% from the field last season. We need to find a center now, I'm thinking the likes of Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Mikke Moore, etc. We've got a young big body to develop in Dexter Pittman. I'm also looking forward to seeing how Mario Chalmers reacts. We all saw how Rajon Rondo blossomed in Boston with the three musketeers.
What Dan Gilbert said was so unprofessional and blind. I felt bad for the Cavs but now I have no sympathy with an owner like that.
Also shame on those Cleveland fans who burned his jersey. The man gave you his all for 7 years and did what was best for him and his family. I don't get how everyone is so sour when the man chooses WINNING over MONEY...doesn't that show that there are athletes out there that care about things more than just cold hard cash? (I'm looking at you Joe Johnson)
I have to say I am surprised he went to Miami but I think good for him. He is getting destroyed in the media today for the way he did it but at least a few million was raised for a good charity
He is a sellout! Its wades team, he will never go out a legend. He will forever be Pippen status! Just a sidekick! He had a chance to be the real king of bball in NYC! I hope Kobe shakes him up and Gasol breaks boshes back. Only dude that gets love is wade for staying put and quaterbacking this move

The man wants to win, I don't understand how that's a fault. He shows that he's more than just building a legacy and being a king...he's showing his love for the game. I don't get all the hate.

well you are from Miami so your perspective is a little different.
I agree with you to an extent though. I dont think you can call the guy a sellout especially considering he is getting less money in Miami. The hate is really going overboard as well. Many athletes would have left Cleveland after 5 years instead of staying 7 so they gotta give Lebron a little credit for that.
He is getting called a sell out cause he left hometown.. I dont blame him for that.. but I think his best chance to win was the chi. Little bias tho. ;P
I also think he put himself in a lose lose situation. Win championships and its going to be "he had to do it on a superstar team under wade," "he cant lead a team on his own accord" ect ect. Lose... and well that would just be sad.
I think I said this before.. but i am not down with this teaming up bullshit... I see it as like a cop out.. no real good rivalries in NBA any more outside Boston/LA

put it this way. You are a 25 year old, where would you rather spend most of the year living and working....Cleveland or Miami?
and money was never an issue I think. He makes more money off the court than on the court....I think if he just wanted money he would of gone to New Jersey the new owner would of made him a Russian superstar lol
This is the best day of my LIFE! Well no, but getting point across
The LA Lakers will not be winning a Title for another 5-7 years!!
LONG LIVE THE HEAT!
Seriously, this is like the Celtics and the LA Lakers merged into ONE. This is going to be a SLAUGHTERFEST for FIVE+ years!!!
LMAO, easy there. They have not even played a game yet. You have to worry about the Celtics (who just added Jermaine O'Neal by the way) and the Magic before you even think about the Lakers. Sorry to tell you but you need more than 3 players in the NBA. Right now you have 7 and aside from Lebron, Bosh and Wade your team is pure garbage. Good luck building a legit team around them with about 2 million cap space
Lakers on the other hand have a team thats been playing together for years and have proven they can win rings. They are also adding pieces like Steve Blake to build their bench. They made it thru the playoffs and won a title this year with a hurt Andrew Bynum as well. Its going to take the Heat a year or two to build a decent team and figure it out. Lakers arent going anywhere

Well first of all - they aren't my team ya big silly goose.
Calling Lebron, Bosh, and Wade pure garbage isn't a good way to start your credibility off. Lebron has a plethora of MVPs, Wade a championship, and Bosh, Lebron, Wade all on the USA Olympic team.
Bosh was playing like a mad man last season.
It's going to be really interesting to see how they come together chemistry wise - these are 3 serious superstars and they are going to have to share a lot.. cut down salaries.
Saying Lakers won without Bynum is no feat. They had Gasol (who is better) and Odom who is playing well. Bynum isn't even a starter.

Derek Fisher is turning ancient too.
I hope to see LA vs Miami. that would be amazing.
I said ASIDE from bosh, lebron and wade that team is garbage. Lakers playing without Bynum is no big deal? LMAO. Are you new to the NBA? Any time you remove a 7 foot 285lb guy capable of getting you 20/10 on any night, that is a HUGE loss offensively and especially defensively. Not to mention hes a starter meaning Pau has to play a position hes not built for and you have to start Odom, thus taking away a key bench player. Nice try though.

Heat are likely to keep Haslem and get miller tho.. hardly garbage.. their bench on the other hand...
But +1 on Bynum, was a big lost, for exactly the reasons stated.

I think you are a bit confused. I'm not new to NBA and I know quite a bit.
Andrew Bynum didn't miss one playoff game this year!
The only games he missed were about 10 at the END of the season which was just some good rest for the playoffs.
Pau Gasol has so much talent and it shows in his stats - to say he isn't built to be a Center and solid player kind of hurts your credibility. He averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 3.5 assists while Bynum only averaged 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists last season. The season before that wasn't much different.
Pau Gasol definitely contributes just as much, if not more than Bynum. The stats speaks for itself.

Just got ESPN so I've been watching some basketball trying to get into it. I find the fuss surrounding LBJ amusing and mystifying... why he felt the need to go on ESPN with an hour long special that he could have made in 5 minutes is beyond me; why he failed to call the teams he didn't opt for in person is bizarre - it's flat out rude and unprofessional; especially harsh on Cleveland, not telling them of his decision.
Having said that, I found Dan Gilbert's letter funny at first, but then in the cold light of day, it's just some smart PR trying to get the Cleveland folks on his side for whatever reason... meh.
I am looking forward to watching Miami next year, though. That might be the team to finally spark some baseball interest in me.

I would think its the opposite tho... I didn't like the move cause it has the potential to make things very uncompetitive... The league was just getting back to where it was pretty balanced, a good number of playoff teams still had a legit chance. Depending on how the Heat work together, it might put us back at square one.

I see your point, but I mean from my point of view as a non-fan - if a team are going out and winning with style, I'd be more likely to watch them. I've tried time and time again to get into basketball and just can't...

Ya it can really go either way. I am not even a big big fan of basketball in general I just love my Chicago teams.
For what reason cant you get into basketball? I try to get into baseball and I just cant take it... games are too slow for me. Its probably the one major sport I cant get into even tho I really wanted to cause I get free tickets to games all the time...

I love baseball, my favourite US sport! I just think Basketball is too stop-start for me - lots of timeouts, lots of possession changes, etc... I'm gonna try and get on board at the start of the season and see if following it the beginning helps. Maybe even get into a fantasy league somewhere, that's what spiked my baseball love.
I seem to have a weird thing where I follow teams in different sports from different cities - Astros in baseball, 49ers in NFL... not picked a basketball team yet, but leaning towards Celtics because of my football team being Celtic
