How are you going to post up a question about a Rom, get some of us excited, and then no post a link to where to get it and/or info on it from the developer! Shame on you!

More info please.

They are cooking up a few new ROMS over at XDA....how ever, not sure if any of them compare to Fresh 1.1. We will see with all the feed back they are getting.

I tried to help one of the DEV's sign a new one call Souffle 1.1 and he got his up and running....here is the link to it

[ROM] Souffle 1.1 (2/27/10) [ROM] Souffle 1.1 (2/27/10) - xda-developers

I'll have to play with them next week. I'm WAY too drunk to mess with them right now. Plus, I've got a meeting all morning tomorrow, so I want to make sure my internet and everything is working :P

I'm running Pancake as we speak and it's a hell of a lot fast than fresh. Don't have to install a new kernel over it or anything. GBHill released a Gumbo Kernel Stove Pipe edition for this one and man is it working.

yeah, I have had it installed since you first posted up austin, and I think it just might as well be faster than fresh 1.1. the kernal from gumbo is .31, this one is signed .32

But yeah, loving the pancakes!!!!!!!

I installed it at like 2:00 in the morning and haven't had much time to test it yet. Been busy at work all day, everyone decided to wait till Saturday to get their cars fixed. So far haven't seen anything I don't like. I do have less free RAM than before.

edit: found my own answer.

This rom is based off of gumbo1.5c almost completely. Looks like a few images or apps have been further compressed to knock ~20 Kb off the file sizes. Gumbo.sh uses the same settings.

Anyone else having mms problems with this ROM? I really like it so far, battery seems good with it, overclock widget didn't like it, it kept going back to 245 instead of staying at 528, but I don't seem to be getting any mms messages. The keyboard lags a little while typing in Tue browser (Dolphin)

there's one big difference in pancake compared to Gumbo 1.5c... the kernel used in pancake has NO memkiller settings applied. if they added the lowmemkiller settings (either aggressive of less aggressive) then it would be even better. I have to wait until Monday before I can play with any ROMs.. I'm on call this weekend

Gbhil added a user configuration update zip that you can flash to his rom as a afterthought for people that didn't want to run set cpu. It would not be hard to flash over the pancake rom. It just replaces the gumbo.sh file with an updated one. HOW-TO Customizing the boot script for Gumbo ROM 1.5c - Android Central Forums
I am running these numbers
1536,2048,4096,10240,15320,23040 That is the aggressive setting but I tweaked the 4th number a little because HTC social networks was hanging up all seems fine now no FC or hang ups yet.

Thanks for the info.

I made some modifications to the pancake...File is flashable

First of all...I want to thank bikcmp over at XDA for answering the questions I had. I tested this to make sure it worked properly. Now onto what I included in my signed zip file

Twitter & Widget
DCSSTock
Footprints & Widget
Ringtone Trimmer
Sound Recorder

Installed Apps/Themes/Mods

Clear Keyboard
Clear Lock-screen
Espresso Black
Nexus One boot-screen
Wireless Tether
TeleveNav GPS Navigator (Same as sprint but works faster)
SuperUser Permisions
lowmemorykiller is set to 1536,3072,4096,21000,23000,25000

The only thing that Force closes on me, is wireless tether, BUT I don't use it anyways, so could really care less. Not a missed program

You can always remove it and re-install it. I have ran into this before when it has been included in a rom.

I installed Pancake yesterday after reading XDA forum and here. It's amazing fast. I removed all the sprintware on it. I only get fc for voice search only which I don't use it. Everything else is working great. This is w/o setCPU. I will see how the battery life.

Hmm, did a reboot, and wireless tether was working again. BUT, like I said before, its whatever for me. Don't ever use it.

pretty much the same for me.. don't really use it.. but it does come in handy when I'm on call and get a call while trying to eat dinner with my wife and kids (last Sunday for example) and the restaurant has no wifi...it does eat some battery though

I currently have my apps backed up using Astro. If I do a wipe and then reinstall Astro, will it still be able to reinstall from the back up?
