If you haven't called HTC, PLEASE do so, as I believe they need to realize how widespread this is.

I heard from HTC today. They are still looking into it. I did point them at all the threads in the forums, etc. I had to explain the whole thing to them again, but maybe we're making progress.

Keep calling them if you haven't already. They really need to see how widespread this issue is.

Updated the Confirmed Issues w/ Workarounds sticky with this one. Thanks to the people that found the cause and ways around it (even if they're not easy at the moment)!

CONFIRMED!!!!! i called sprint n told them about the issue. after about a half an hour i got the girl i spoke with to tell me that wat she did was run ruu and then download all the apps wen it came back on and then update. this is the only known way to keep all ur apps from wat she said but shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh she could get fired for telling me to hack my phone!!!

After hard reset and changing roms, approximately 100 of 120 apps reinstalled. I had to manually search and install the others. However they were there when 1 searched. The few paid apps I have reinstalled. Running Bugless beast on a droid 1
