Default htc hero stuck in boot loop

I recently purchased this phone on ebay and bought as was. Stuck in boot loop. No nothing about phone can you please help!

Yikes. That is what I get for trying to merge the exact copy of one thread to another.

Anyway, back on topic. I would just flash the RUU .zip via HBOOT and get it back to stock Android 2.1. You can find that here: [RUU] Official 2.31.651.7 in ZIP Format, Flashable from Fastboot - xda-developers .
