There a reward zone from Best Buy today with a coupon to get the Hero for $129.99 good from 10/28 - 11/2. I plan on stopping by the store this weekend to see if they will price match the lower price. Looking on their website, it says they will match any prices from a competetor or Best Buy store within the exchange/return period, which is 30 days for the Hero (store policy here: BestBuy.com Help ). So, for anyone that got their Hero at Best Buy, you might want to print off that coupon and stop by the Customer Service counter to see if you can get an extra $50 back.

I just got back from Best Buy and they were not able to get the bar code on the coupon to reflect the discount. After 30 minutes they got the Manager and I was giving a $50 Best Buy Cash Card. Works for me!

Mine was an upgrade. I got it originally for $179 on Oct 9th. Will stop in there this evening and see how it goes. Should work, though.

You can do it on an upgrade, mine was an upgrade and then I went back to get the $50 credited back. No problem whatsoever. Easiest PM I've ever had. $53 including taxes credited back to my credit card.

Yes, it can be used without scanning the RZ card either as I forgot mine when I got the phone and I just went home and entered the info. CSR processed the refund without asking for my RZ card also.

worked for me i got 53 back on my CC. they didnt scan my RZ card but maybe that's because i used it to make the original purchase. anyone who doesnt have one just sign up and print a temp card. and if they ask say that the pdf was mailed to you not that you got it online.

Got my HTC from a sprint store a few weeks back. Called Sprint today and they applied the $50 credit to by account. While I was on the line they called my local Bes Buy confirm sale price and I had to email coupon. Thk for the tip!

Yes it does they will ask for your card... if you do not have one go online and sign up now and print out your card. It is free

If you're a frequent BB shopper, I'd recommend getting the Reward Zone card anyway. Can get some pretty good deals with it.

and so it wasnt a total loss i had them replace my hero with a new one that has the "with google" on the box and battery cover...

Well i went back and showed them all the forums full of people getting theres. They did not want to do it at all. The fine print does say( At the time of activation ) if you return it, it takes 3 days to reactivate. Thats what they told me.

go to a different bestbuy . maybe is just that specific one that is giving you trouble . you can do the price match at any bestbuy . i did mines in a bestbuy that is close to my house and they dont carry sprint , meaning they didnt sell the services , but were still able to do the price match . like i said it could just be that specific store giviin you all the NOooo's lol

Sounds like the reps at that particular store are total pricks. Go to a different Best Buy location. I'm going to head out tomorrow and take advantage of this offer myself, but I'm certainly not going to let them sway me. Their price matching policy is pretty clear.
