Hm that would lose Sprint some fans. Being a student myself I don't get that move at all if it's true.

Never knew they had a student discount. WTF they owe me money since I've been going to college since Aug 07 which is when we changed from Nextel to Sprint >_<

Its supposed to be 15% off the monthly bill (not the $10 data part tho), go to studentrate.com maybe the discount only works online now? But I guess not in stores or over the phone thats what reps have been telling me..

If you have a .edu e-mail address you should be good to go.

I get 20% off my bill every month for having an employee discount. Should I switch to a student discount for the extra 3%? Is that rate nationwide or does it vary? Would I have to extend my contract?

I registered on the studentrate site and here's the trick, go to the sprint deal, when you're asked fill out a form put "employee at a provista school" in the comments section. I guess provista schools get the 23% off discount instead of the 15%.

Not sure, good question. But, my friend just got a new Sprint phone and she opened up an account at Wells Fargo just for the 25% monthly discount.

That sounds easier to me than opening a Wells Fargo account.

I got the 23% off deal and the $125 service credit on top of the rest of the discounts, it's really a good deal

I still 20% off for University. Maybe the change only affects new customers.
