Just saw that on News headlines here! Even though many have commented on LG's reliability being lacking...I'm actually very intrigued on this one. And besides, Samsung had the same reputation prior to the SGS 2 release. LG Eclipse stops at the FCC on the way to Sprint

Doh...LOL...it would've been a pass for me anyway, but it's a definite pass if that's the case. Any of the tablet plans, connected to the providers, suck!
Finally a good phone spec-wise that I could upgrade my GSII to when LTE launches in Seattle soon. I've never used an LG phone, but I'm willing to give anyone a shot.

You're right. Strange dimensions.
Maybe it was meant more-so to compete with the Galaxy Note 2? They already released the Viper earlier in the summer, so this could be the Sprint version of the Optimus Vu (just slightly smaller). Just throwing out theories.
Unfortunately it seems Verizon has gotten so big they can manipulate manufacturers and give the absolute worst customer service and still make money... for now. If they keep raising prices and not caring about customer service at all they will fall.
As long as Sprint does what it takes to maintain unlimited data they will be the #1 carrier in a few years thanks to their customer service.

Throw in sprints money problems during the lte rollout and things could get messy quickly
Sprints "money problems" have been way overstated/embellished ....
The lte rollout is costing them money. That is all.
They would have to really screw the pooch to jack this up.
The rollout is going better than planned from what I see. By this time next year everyone will be laughing over those "money problem" articles. (most already are)

Yup, both have cellular data connectivity
Also, this deal is for business accounts only
Just read that info above on the new LG and that is great news. It may be the rumored phablet they were working on. There have been pics floating around the Note forums of what it should look like
I loved my LG 3d phone on art and have the Viper for my son. Have never understood the bad rep everyone gives them...

really?
that leads me to think... how bad did they plan it?
because I am not impressed! i am in Dallas/Ft Worth area.
and 3G is still down in the trash.
must mean marketing plan... start it .. market it as a success.. if X% believes it and get more customers and sell more LTE phones because of so called rollout... then YEAH! success!

Its a roll out with completion scheduled for November.
There are a lot of times I wish you guys had access to what I do lol. There are an average of 10 towers going live weekly, and as I have mentioned, from strictly a consumer standpoint it is progressing exactly how Atts roll out did. Where do you guys think I went when I left the Evo lol.
Today's "test of the day" coming soon
Getting even better coverage at the house now.

I hope that is only 10 towers weekly in each market.
If it is 10 towers weekly total, and sprint is going to upgrade 38000 towers, that will take 3800 weeks or 73 years.
If they are going to finish the upgrade by Jan 2015 they need to have 304 towers go live each week.
Just to be clear, if one is out of contract now looking for a new phone sometime before October, the best choices would be the Galaxy S3, Photon Q, iphone 5 (yeah yeah).... anything else on the rumor mill I'm missing?

You mentioned the Galaxy S3 and Photon Q... The EVO LTE also just came out, and the LG Eclipse is on the way. All 4 would pry be considered "best of the best."

I'm more interested in what other manufactures bring to the table concurrent with the LG Eclipse. I suspect Samsung, Moto, and HTC are all cooking up quad core LTE phones for an end-year release.

Same thing I am looking forward to.
From what I have understood, all we are waiting on is sufficient cooling and lte compatibility

I just hope its not the same as the LG Vu. That is one of the ugliest phones that I have ever seen.
By the dimensions that were on the FCC for the Eclipse, it seems like the Sprint version might be "skinnier" than the Verizon version, but still more in the realm of a Vu.

That VU looks weird... sooo straight/sharp. Hopefully the Eclipse doesn't look exactly like this? I guess time will tell.
I have an iphone 4s now, will probably get the iphone 5 if it comes out in September as rumored just to play around with it (sell my 4s for like $250-$300 and buy the iphone 5 for $500 or somethin online) then repeat in October if the Eclipse seems worthy because I'm pretty sick of Apple and now that they're eliminated everything Google... no thanks.
Otherwise, I guess I'm waiting for the holiday period like everyone else
I went by Best Buy last night to put a pre-order on the Photon Q for my secondary line, but the SG Note 2 is something that I'm keeping on my radar. I checked out the Note 1 last night, and even though I still feel like it's still too big for a phone, I just might be okay with it, if I just use my headphones more often (I have a pair of beats audio ear-buds that are the OEM htc ear buds...purchased for sale on justamazing deals for cheap...and still haven't used them as much as I should).
I really do like all the options available right now, but since it's the last 1 year upgrade, I'm being a little more patient just waiting for the entire line of phones to be out and available for comparison.
Is the Photon Q a huge down grade from LTevo? I really liked the OG MoPho. I have been thinking about getting the MoPho Q, hoping it will operate like the OG MoPho. I miss the predictive text, the dial pad and some other features from Motorola.

In my opinion there's no advantage it has over it.
If your rooted moto isn't root friendly at all, although there's supposedly going to be a bootloader unlocker
