Default My "sad" upgrade predicament - heh - (Advice Sought)

I am quite certain this year is my 10th anniversary with Sprint.

Last summer, because my EVO 4G charging port was busted, and I was eligible just after a year, I "upgraded" from my broken EVO 4G to another EVO 4G.

Because the Premier program was still in effect, and because the rep told me I would be able to upgrade in a year (i.e. THIS year), I did the upgrade.

Of course, they have since cancelled the Premier, and now my upgrade isn't eligible until next year. And now, I kick myself.

Has anyone had any success recently getting Sprint to move up their upgrade? If so, should I call or email?

I don't expect the world, and I get these guys need to make money, but, heck, I resigned with the verbal understanding that I would be able to upgrade this year. Had I known I wouldn't be able to, I would have opted to fix the thing. I went with the EVO 4G again because I didn't like the 3D model (too narrow)

Sprint has always been good to me - only once about 5 years ago did I complain about some things, and was honestly going to quit - and they promptly sent 3 brand new phones.

bleh .. lol

Please no flames - just looking for advice and recommendations - and really if anyone had any luck moving up their upgrade date.

Sprint moved my upgrade up by 5 months in order for me to get my Evo3D. I just called & asked them nicely. It was cool =)

I've been down that road...started off nicely asking, ended up highly frustrated and angry.
My GF accepted a different replacement phone when her Moment malfunctioned under the impression that she would be eligible for an (early - 1 year) upgrade in a few months (that's how the Sprint people at the store convinced her to agree to taking the other phone). That time came and we tried to get her a Nexus S from Best Buy but they said she wasn't eligible. We went to the Sprint store and were told that she had "lost" the 1 year upgrade because the Premier program went out the window. They said we could call customer support and have them restore it.
I made the call for her, nicely explained the situation, and the lady just kept trying to switch which line was the primary line on the account. She handed the phone off to her supervisor so I got to explain it all again. He sat there in silence for what felt like minutes and then simply told me he couldn't restore the upgrade and had no idea what I was talking about. It then got handed to a THIRD person so I got to explain the whole situation yet again. This person did know about restoring lost upgrades but said that we were 1 week too late. Apparently they were restoring the upgrades to those who lost it, but only up until a certain date. I argued that they were restoring people's upgrades who weren't eligible until months after my gf, but only because they had ASKED for it before a certain date.
Anyway, the phone call went on for over an hour and all I got was a headache out of it.
