Default Newb questions

Hey all. I'm really new to android and I have some questions.
I have the optimus net from net10. As to my understanding, it runs off Sprints towers, but sprint has a contract with verizon so that they can roam on verizon towers. Can my phone roam on verizon towers?
I notice that my data icon and bars are sometimes white instead of green. Does this mean my phone is roaming?
Thanks in advance guys.

If your provider has a contract with Sprint, then my understanding is yes, you would roam off Verizon towers. When roaming, your signal strength indicator will usually display an extra symbol (a triangle is common) as a visual indicator you're not "on network." The green vs white is probably unrelated; likely it's an indicator of whether or not you're synced to Google's servers (green when you are, white when you're not).

- Kickapoo word for "broken promise."
