Seems that Sprint is including only the 16GB model of the SGS3. Either way, that's one hell of a deal. Just told a co-worker about it who was interested in the device.

Sprint's deal isn't that great for the 16GB model. BestBuy has it for $99; Sprint for $199/BOGO. BB probably will even throw in some other incentive to make the sale.
I want Sprint to BOGO the 32GB model because you can't get that one from other sellers.
Not a fan of 16GB Androids now that you can't move apps to the sd card without rooting. Never should have taken that ability away.

That's the first I've ever heard of this, actually. In any event, Sprint is likely to make a pretty penny on sales for this deal. Most people have no idea that Best Buy even sells phones lol.
It's not actually all 16GB Androids. It's just Android since ICS that killed the feature. Some of these games are up to and creeping over 1.5GB now and more will come.
BB sells Sprint, VZW, TMo GS3s. TMo and VZW 32GBs are available. Not so for Sprint and ATT. I'd have pulled the trigger long ago. BB also doesn't make you wait for rebates. Sprint processed my Evo rebate fairly efficiently, but I did have to follow up a few times to make sure it didn't get "stuck" or "lost" once I sent them the info.
Ironically, Sprint's practices almost push people to buy outside Sprint sales channels. For retention purposes alone Sprint should consider BOGO insider sales without restrictions on model types. Who cares if they ask people to sign up for another two years if there's some incentive to go with it.
The link shows that Note 2 will not be included. Besides, nothing other than 16GB Note 2s from any US carrier. I'm not even convinced I'd want to BOGO it at just 16GB. Epic fail on limited ram by SS and the carriers.
I have no faith we'll see 64GB androids any time soon.

Does anyone know if this requires two eligible upgrades/new lines or just one? I assume both phones would need to go to either an upgrade or new line, but the email I was sent really isn't clear on this.

Spoke to Sprint about this. They said both phones needed to be activated to a new line or upgraded (either). The numbers can be different accounts/lines, but they're really using these to try to get people to add additional people to family plans. Seriously, this dude tried to tell me I could use the BOGO to buy up to 4 of these, and get up to 4 free.
I guess if I was using these for a small business it could make sense and be a good deal. Haven't read the fineprint on that though because I wasn't looking to add or do anything.
Bottomline though is they want each phone to be tied to a 2yr commitment so it's price-penalizing to try to buy and sell.
