For what its worth if TB is built into ROM you must flash the latest version to Rom for it to run without errors.
Launch the latest version of TB and go to menu, more, create update.zip. Choose Amend as scripting type, choose TB will be installed as system application, and you can choose either options as the name of the output file.
Now your ready to flash it. Reboot into recovery, choose install zip from sd card and toggle signature vitrification off then choose the file you just made. Reboot and TB should be working fine.
The storm is so epic, if you're not careful, this will happen:

Just flashed it and I love how fast it is, but Titanium Backup is giving a weird error message. Something about a guru being on fire and then some incoherent sentence about what version it is. Any idea how to fix it? I mean it's not a deal breaker, I'll restore the apps individually if I have to, but I'd rather not have to do so.

Is your Titanium Backup legit? If it's not, it will not work, because of a check the dev has added.
Yea, I downloaded if off the market right after flashing SD2. It lets me restore my apps individually but whenever I press batch it says "Guru caught fire during calculations. Seriously, what for a Titanium Backup version is this?"

Hmm... I had that issue when I..."borrowed" TiBu Pro back in the day...( I bought it now)
I will look into that. It may be an app issue, as it has apparently started happening on SD 1.2 as well.

Yeah I had that issue on SD 1.2 also but never on any other ROM. It also made swift key x spas out and force close whenever the settings were accessed or when you tried to use the keyboard so...
Try installing nova launcher, your answer will be shown there ^_^
Any whoooo, pictures look awesome, to bad i can't test it. According to the comments, seems like you won your crowd over again. Stormdroid was always fast and faster with each build. But, i will not admit to defeat ^_^

Yeah, that was a bug feature we couldn't fix decided to include.
I call it "Unobtrusive Charging"

I've got a problem with gmail, the "Inbox" and email address parts at the top of the app have no texts. It's just a black area, though if I press the right part it highlights like a normal press would and takes me to the menu options it should go to.

Problems
The only problems I ever had on this ROM were the two with the titanium backup guru and the swift key x force closes. That's the only reason i have ever switched off of stormdroid and sadly until it is resolved I might have to switch off again
I just wanted to give a big thanks to J2 for helping me install Storm Droid today. While it might be my first ROM I can still say that it is awesome. Huge improvement over stock and I will never go back.

Wow...I had given up. I had tried Velocity, Bionix, and finally tried this one last ROM to solve my phone's freezing, random reboot, and random sluggishness. But this ROM, with it's SuperSU and when I downloaded the BusyBox free app (not the JRummy16 version; Stephen/Stericson), it all started finally working again. Love the look, love the speed, makes using this phone bearable...no...more than bearable until I finally upgrade in May Thank you Devs!

So, say I want to give this ROM a whirl. I've just got one problem. I have the Star Wars: The Old Republic security key app, which (very inconveniently) does not come with a way to restore itself if it gets wiped. Meaning that I would have to call up Bioware customer support and have them remove it from my account (again, because I've had to replace my Ally once). I previously upgraded from Bionix 0.8 to 1.0.0 and kept that app completely intact by not deleting the caches, per a suggestion from rgocal. Worked perfectly. However, I sense potential problems if I decide to switch to StormDroid without deleting caches and data. Titanium Backup apparently doesn't backup something necessary for the app to work after a restore, so that's not an option. Anyone know a way around this problem?

You should be fine flashing over to SD from Bionix. Nothing in /data anyway.
Whats going on guys. I used to love the shit out of the ally but sadly mine was stolen from me at work of all places. Would rather have the ally over my current stratosphere... not much Bacon or support. I got spoiled by this community.
Excellent ROM - had Velocity and started having problems 'progressively' got worse. Switched to this, and has been running solid - no problems - couple 'tweaks' to get everything perfect, and I'm getting 2-3 days out of the battery depending on how much I talk on it --
Excellent job, devs - thanks again!!!

1. Is anyone else having the problem where the top of the gmail is getting cut off? The 'inbox' and 'account' buttons are only half visible and impossible to press.

As for 1. It may be theme related. 2, We weren't sure anyone cared! lol. I'll get that out ASAP!
Thanks for sticking with us guys! We love all of you.
Ok so this rom is running great (have it OC'd 780mhz and the phone is better than ever), but I do have a couple issues. First, I have the same gmail issue where it doesnt show the options at the top of the screen, and I also have a problem where it doesnt show the month when i view the calendar in month view..
both of these are pretty minor, but one thing thats strange is when i charge my battery not only does my icon disappear (known issue), but my battery level DROPS rather than raises..
What could cause this? I was thinking of clearing battery stats in recovery, but not sure of any other things this can mess with? Any info is much appreciated.
Now, another issue I have is that there is no Music app in my launcher? Has anyone else had this problem? This is a big one for me.. I download lots of music from fildo and other sources and need my music lol...
Any help is much MUCH appreciated!
Keep up the great work!

We're working on that. There will be a patch or something at some point that should fix that.

The disappearing icon is a known bug but I've never heard of it losing power. Try doing a full cycle charge. Drain the battery to below 10% and then charge it all the way plus ten minutes. I have no idea if that will help at all, but I do it frequently.

We left out a music player to save space. If you need music so bad, go download a music player from the Play Store.
Thanks for all the work on this project. I've been playing with it on my active Ally and noticed Bluetooth works... mostly. I've paired a standard headset just fine but can't pair my car's hands-free (Sync). Every attempt ends with the Ally saying "The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. [Force close]" I suspect it has something to do with the required PIN which the other headset does not need.
Other than that, no real issue. Yeah, the top of the screen in Gmail, but I can still get email just fine so it doesn't bother me. GPS is as accurate as ever, and everything works well for what I do.
