Stormdroid 2.0 install issues

I have an LG Ally which I recently rooted and installed Stormdroid 2.0 on, and the installation went smoothly.

After the installation though, the phone goes through the two splash screens and the Tux screen before finally rebooting and doing it all over again.

Is my phone bricked? If it is how can I fix it? I'm running Linux, so the LG Mobile Support tool won't work. Also if it is bricked, why?

If on the other hand it's not bricked, how can I repair the installation or whatever needs to be done?

I should probably add that I'm running Kubuntu, not Windows, so the normal methods don't work. Wine runs the utilities for recovery but they (not surprisingly) won't recognize that the phone is connected.

I've gotten my phone recovered from the backup NAND. Now my only question is what went wrong that sent it into an infinite boot loop? Directions were followed to the letter, cache, dalvik-cache and data wiped and a smooth installation
