"Android Forums" to "Phandroid"

So I recently realized that the Android guy at the top now says "Phandroid" while in the Android Forums and links to the Phandroid homepage. It used to say "Android Forums" and link to the Android Forums main page. This is incredibly annoying. I am so used to clicking on the guy to go to the main forum page, but now I am constantly being pointed toward Phandroid. If I wanted to go to Pandroid I would type "www.phandroid.com". But no, I typed "www.androidforums.com". I am here to view the android forums. Stop trying to get phandroid more hits. Bring back the old link, for the sake of convenience!

I was happy when I saw the top logo become a Phandroid link. How most other forums seem to have it set up, where clicking the top logo takes you to the blog homepage. I would think for continuity for users, that logo should go to Phandroid and the HOME link should be for the forums home page.

I'm pretty sure this issue is resolved regardless of the discussion at this point, but just my two cents; that type of continuity would only make sense if the uri we were currently browsing began with phandroid.com/forums and not androidforums.com/ - logos should always link to the top level or home page of the current domain, not the parent site.

That does make sense. Curious then why the Phandroid link was removed and instead the Home link on androidforums.com links to phandroid.com. It would certainly be easier if the Home link read as Phandroid instead. Regardless, love Phandroid and AF, great source of info and troubleshooting.

Probably because Phandroid is the "home" of Android Forums. Basically Phandroid is the main site and Android Forums is a sub-section but with its own domain name. Hopefully Rob will chip in with a definitive explanation.
