Default Well HTC have repaired my G1 . . .

Evening all

I recently bought a G1 from Ebay and it worked perfectly, it was locked to T-Mobile and I unlocked it (using a website) and it worked fine using my Vodafone sim card. Then mysteriously it turned itself off and wouldn't come back on so I sent it off to HTC in the UK for repair.

They repaired it by replacing the motherboard and it was returned to me about 2 weeks later. HTC are great!!

However in replacing the motherboard I have also ended up with a new IMEI number that is so new that no-one can give an unlock code for it!

Does anyone have any idea where that unlock code would be? Do HTC have them? Would I have to call T-Mobile (even though I am not a customer of theirs)??

Who has unlock code number things? Any ideas what I need to do to fix this?

Cheers
D

If you boot up your phone without a SIM card, you should be able to get access to the dialer for emergency purposes. Then dial *#06# and with any luck it will give you the new IMEI.
