Default Battery Meter/GPS

1. Where can I locate the battery meter on the phone, where it tells me the percentage of battery left etc, or if it's 100 percent charge.

2. GPS was never able to find my location, and I had it on forever. Why is this, or what can I do so it can locate me?

1) I don't know natively, but there's a battery manager application in the market.

2) I've had a lot more success getting the GPS to work by turning off "Use wifi networks" in the GPS settings (only having satellites selected.)

Thank you guys.

When I am using my GPS, I am normally in the car, or at home.

Edit: Wow, the status tells you a lot.

im using the app called power manager..
it works great.
u can control things like turn on bluetooth, wifi, gps in that app
and its great cause it also displays the battery life in percentage and when it gets down to 30% it goes into low battery mode and it dims the screen brighness and turns off wifi, gps,etc..
its a great app and probably the best app i got..
got it from the android market
