LCD Screen or digitizer replace?

Howdy,

The outside screen on my HTC G1 is cracked, but the touch function works. I can hardly see what is being displayed because its "foggy" and has lines down it.

Do both my LCD Screen and digitizer need to be replaced?

I've got the same issue mate, here's a link to just the digitiser on ebay but I'm reluctant to buy until I find someone who knows how to replace just the digitiser
