Hi,

Will Rooting disable the sim lock on the phone? Either way I'd like to do it and have tried this:

I get an error after typing these commands:

su
cd /sdcard
insmod /sdcard/wpthis.ko

I get:

"insmod: init_module 'sdcard/wpthis.ko' failed (exec format error)"


Also after the re-boot I still get s-on at the top.

Help!

Are you on froyo? Also if you are on froyo you NEED to make sure that you have the updated froyo that introduced wifi calling and hotspotting to gain s off. If you need help PM me and I will help you out

And no it will not disable the sim lock
