Phone thinks the battery is over heating, but it isn't.

My G2 will not accept a charge from any charger or any battery I use because the phone its self thinks the battery is overheating and it is not. I had to buy an external charger in order to charge the battery so I can use my phone, and that process works work fine, however its a pain in the butt not being able to charge my phone by pluggin it in.

Does anyone know how to fix this or how to disable the overheating safety feature?
