is it possible and if so how, do i copy my texts to my computer?
i have an entire conversation that i would REALLY like to be able to save..

Try SMS backup - It's an app on the market. I think that will do what your looking for.

Works a treat on my Desire, sent 725 in one fell swoop by SMS backup, did not ask me to limit to 100 as stated in instructions, it just went ahead. Brilliant.
