Default Alarm Clock

Are there any good alarm clocks out there, preferably a free one. I wanna be able to use my own ringtone and sounds, and not the ones that are preset in the phone

I second this question. There are tons of these cheesy "Designer" clocks in the Market, but very few plain ole alarm clocks. I hate the tones that come with the native one.

Put your alarm sound file in a sdcard\media\audio\alarms directory on your phone and the native alarm app should list the sound files you put there.

Also, a few other sdcard folders of consiquence are; sdcard\media\audio\notifications, and sdcard\media\audio\ringtones.

Thanks. That little tidbit was incredibly useful.

You can download a free tonepicker app from the apps market and use that to pick the sound for alarm clocks (and other notifications).

Shoot! No reason for pushing tones and all that, just download -

Digital Clock -

And set whatever ringtone, mp3, or whatever to your alarm.

Also here is a fantastic Alarm app, called Math Alarm! You have to do Math problems, anywhere from basic arithmetic to solving for x equations to turn the alarm off. It will wake you up. It is $1.99 though.

Math Alarm Clock -

Good luck! And in case you didn't know, sorry if you do and this is annoying, but use "Barcode Scanner" from the Market to scan these QR Codes and it'll take you to their place in the Android Market. Have fun!

Since you don't know how to research anything I bumped the thread you're looking for.

You're welcome, since no one says thanks for anything on this forum.

I mean, c'mon, 3 posts and pc can't even browse the 2nd page, read that link and post some feedback, anything, even if it's not useful?

That's why this forum has no character, no personality, and no community.

I understand Android is new, and we're dealing with a lot of newbies to the os cell phone arena, but people should start posting something.

All this wasted time we spend without cultivating social skills is a joke. I wouldn't take anything seriously from a CRT.

All those views and I know for a fact at least 10% are using that notification management architecture I designed yet less than 1% replies. I know this will spread all over the internet because this has happened to me with s60 10 years ago being able to support wmv files by loading the codec for wmv on the phone but renaming your files from .wmv to .rm so the video players would recognize the format specifier(i.e. the extension name, .rm for real media which s60 has always supported) but when the player started reading the file it would read the header and recognize that it was a wmv file and use the wmv codec. Yeah, I was the one that figured that out, check AAS of SF under my name. No joke, i bet over a million people used that process to play wmv files on s60 over the years.

I don't care about any of this shit, just try to provide useful info to make yours and others a better personal experience with there phones, and maybe make a few connections.

On a personal note...taking in the Opening ceremonies acompanied by some surround sound over some Baileys and coffee then it's off the to club at the end of my street to have come cocktails and hang with some friends and get...well...you know.

Of no interest, I've got 4 inches of snow outside at the SC border, it's gonna be a slippery 1/2 mile walk, I'll try not to bust my head open walking home.

Bottoms up and never any offense to anyone!!!!

Rant over.

Outrageous, who just saw that on the opening ceremonies?

It will be number one on YT in the coming days IMHO. Should be.

I do not believe that was real time - the shots from the mountains were taken a few days ago. I wonder how many runs he had to do to have it look perfect

I just saw the platform poetry about why Canada is the "what" in "what's new". Outrageous.

Dramatic, powerful, I don't even know what to call it, speech, preach, factual speaking, I've got to see that again.

Great rant! Now I know there's a funny dude in there besides the grouch, or rise-getter...

I missed the opening ceremonies! At work late as our (video game) project is nearing a big deadline, and now I'm at my friend's place and she doesn't have tv.

I guess its youtube for me!

Cheers! Off to get some grub and a drink.
