I currently have a Moto CLIQ, however I'm thinking of trading it for the refreshed MT3G. I just wanted to know if you can sync your facebook account to your contact list. I know it's a small feature but it's something that I think that's a pretty neat feature.

I'm not sure how the CLIQ does it, but this is how I did it. Is this what you mean just syncing your Facebook friends like phone numbers to your contacts in your phone. If so this will work - Right Here

oh yes. get a mt3g and live the rest of ur life stuck in the world of android 1.6 because HTC and t-mo r too darn lazy to update to android 2.1.
Exactly, that's why I don't understand why people complain about being stuck on 1.6.
There's much worse out there like being stuck in 1.5 purgatory hell with the Behold II.
And I really don't understand why people think when they get 2.1 on their phone their Android experience will be revolutionary?! If you are so concerned with it, root your mytouch and go try OpenEclair. I mean kudos to Chris and Wes, but they are still kind of slow, and the abilities of 2.1 aren't that superior to 1.6
Sure it'll be neat to have a live wallpaper, but really that's just going to slow down my phone even more, to the point that they aren't even cool looking wallpapers. Trust me, its not that exciting waiting for 2.1
I love two point one on my nexus. But you need a phone built to handle it. im not sure the mytouch its built to handle it. especially the older one
Exactly, and so personally I don't really care if 2.1 comes out for us, I love my rooted mytouch as it is, its super fast and a lot of cool 2.1 stuff has been implemented into this rom, so I have nothing to complain about.
Stokes eclair rom runs super fast on the mytouch 1.2. and that's without even tampering with spare parts.
Although there's no bluetooth, no youtube app and Google Earth doesn't work ... live wallpapers runs blazingly fast if its any consolation
Yeah, and I think that the real Android 2.1 will run great on v1.2, but I've got v1.0, so I'm sure that it will run, just not really smoothly on my 1.0 Thats why I don't get my hopes up and I honestly have no desire for 2.1. Now if they didn't implement Google Nav into 1.6 that would be a different story, but they did, so 1.6 or 2.1 I don't mind either way.

With my blackberry storm, the keyboard always got better with the updates... when i first got it, it was damn near impossible for me to type on the full keyboard. As they updates rolled out, the easier it got. So What im hoping to get from a new firmware is the full version of swype, the option to have more then 3 home screens without having to run open home and thats about it.

What he said, probably by the time it really makes a difference to have a 2.x+ android phone, will be by the time I need an upgrade anyway, i'm running the same rom he's running and it's truly blazing fast, no hiccups whatsoever. :] again kudos to him for helping me rooting my phone
