This has been going on with this phone for months and months!!! Someone must have gotten to the bottom of it. It's like the Android developers are totally impotent on this issue.

It's not cables and sd cards because everyone who says that the problem is fixed after they buy a new cable/card eventually is back posting the same problems.

ANDROID!! WHAT IS THE FINAL SOLUTION!!!

I had to buy a new microSD card in Class 6 before it would work, the Class 2 included with the phone is not really fast enough to work. Some are trying to get free replacements from T-mobile and HTC but they are cheap enough and the new one came with a miniSD adapter so I can still use the old card for other stuff.

If anything does not work, try the following:
- linking phone and a computer with a small USB
(purchased along with the phone);
- turn off phone and wait a few minutes;
- turns on the phone;
USB must be connected at all time
- signal the USB connected will appear (turn on)
It is all
Disconnection:
- turn off the USB phone and
- follow the instructions for safe disconection on PC
- After this you can disconectovati usb.
For me it was successful without buying a new USB cable.

Does one need a google account and a gmail addy to sync your phone/ computer? When I synced my phone it was crazy easy. WTfudge!

what if i connected the USB cord from my MyTouch 3G version 2.2.1 to macbook pro but the "USB connected" icon didn't pop up in my notification bar???
