If you were following my example make sure the android sdk folder is on the root of your c: drive and named "androidsdk". Otherwise you cd like this:
cd c:\[whatever you have named the sdk folder]\tools (or platform-tools depending on your version of the sdk)
But that all doesn't matter as that step is not need for screen shots, just for making sure drivers are all set. In this case you appear to only have the usb drivers installed. That's not what you need.
Two things to try:
Make sure you are in debugging mode and usb set to charge
Download and install pdanet and follow installation instructions as its the easiest way to install the correct drivers. (once done you can delete pdanet)
Once that's all set go back into dmss and your device should show in the left side panel

is there a way i can take screenshots of my 4g without rooting and using linux mint? i always used this app on my mytouch slide called "screenshot". the description of the app said the phone needed to be rooted but my slide was never rooted and i had no problem taking screen shots. it doesnt work on my 4g

AHHHH i love it lol it was the pdanet then goin to tmo's website thank u BUNCHES!!!
:P just posted this SS with few more to prove to someone how to get superior battery consumption. So I guess this SS counts also :P even if its lockscreen.
simple & clean, stock mySense with edited Androidian Theme:
Are you using Weather Widgets or Beautiful Widgets for that clock? And which skin? If I use the former, I end up having a transparent clock instead of one with black numbers over white.
Its all stock mySense including the clock widget. There are no special apps (besides the Androidian myModes theme I edited) and the phone is not rooted. I don't see a reason to use beautiful widgets. That app was made to copy the Sense widget to begin with. IMO it is completely pointless to install another app to do what the stock clock widget already does.

You can add them as attachments when you post or the better way is to upload to a photo sharing site like photobucket and embed the image in your post.

OK..that's what I had already done - added to my Photobucket account.
Embed your pictures url like this:

Also noticed you should change your sig since you're rocking the 4g now, lol
OK, THANKS! I wanted to ask you just what you meant by that, but I didn't wanna sound anymore #slower than I already was. And HUSH - MY SIGNATURE JUST POPPED BACK UP AFTER MY 25TH POST! LOLOLOLOL

great thread! =)
i've been debating between using adw or sticking with stock. i hate the myfaves button is the main reason for using adw. and it looks a little less organized.. can you guys help me pick one please? tia! (using adw) OR .. (using stock)
What theme is this? Its really cute!
Please let me know
I have no idea what wallpaper they are using, but you can easily tell that...
The top pic is not a theme its a launcher replacement called ADW
The bottom pic is the stock launcher (sense aka mysense on the mytouch 4g) using the preinstalled graffiti theme

Rather than take actual pictures of your phone, there is a way to just take screen shots off your phone. The instructions can be found here.
Also, I know on other threads people list the launcher (if you're not running stock) and the widgets/apps they're using. Just a thought...
Hi, I'm having problems finding the USB driver package to install in SDK. When I click on Available Packages, I don't see it under "Android Repository" like all the tutorials show. I only see it under "Third Party Add-Ons" for Google. =T I don't think I'm computer illiterate, but I'm not sure if I'm missing something.

I guess not. Can someone pls tell me how to upload my screen shots. Thanks.
Use photobucket. They seem to be the easiest to set up pictures here.
When you do they have an option to view in this forum (or any at that matter). Use the [img] link.
LOL.. then again i was able to get yours to work too.
What i did was open up the picture and then right clicked, Copy Image URL then came back here and selected the insert image icon. Then control V, Enter.
Should look like this : {IMG}https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-oSJ6Uhtk7-I/TeOlJq8LX4I/AAAAAAAABZs/zQHaN57NC5U/s512/snap20110529_215338.png{/IMG}

So I tried to download the SDK and needed the JDK so I downloaded that, and I downloaded eclipse, and pdanet. I ran the SDK installer and it gets to the part where it checks for the JDK and it says I dont have JDK, but I DO have it. Any idea how to fix this?
The T-Mobile myTouch 4G was the second phone in T-Mobile's lineup to take advantage of their new 4G network. This latest addition to the myTouch family has a 3.8 inch touchscreen, 1 Ghz processor, and comes with Android 2.2.
