Default Sidekick 4G freezing?

My device started lagging and everytime I hit the home button it would go to a blank homescreen and freeze there for a bit then jump back to the normal home screen. I deleted some media and apps and the problem went away. Does it have anything to do with memory? Advice... Noob here.

It could have been an app not playing well with the system. Some apps can be troublesome.

My wife's does the same thing. A casual look on google reveals that this appears to be a bug in Samsung's modified touchwiz that is running on this phone. My wife's sidekick4g freezes like that at least 5 times a week, and sometimes several times/day. I have factory reset it twice and not loaded any apps back with no effect. I have swapped out the sd card, which also had no effect. Samsung needs a bug fix for this as they were not ready for prime time with this kind of bug that needs a battery pull multiple times weekly.

I think they'll address the issue with the first update, but that doesn't mean it willl fix the problem. The "addressed issue" is usually just them acknowledging they have a problem and didn't really fix it.

Default Freezing up blues

I've had mine since June and it has started freezing up quite a bit. Earlier I simply tried to return a phone call and was sent to messaging, home page, black screen, messaging and back to black screen. WTF?? My old Sidekick LX was quick, reliable and I could make phone calls and send text message in just seconds.

I got my sidekick 4g when it first came out and had no problems but in the past few weeks my phone will freeze up on me, when I go to reply to a text, I touch the text and then the screen goes black and then goes to the home page or when I try to scroll through the menus it will freeze for a couple of seconds. I have to take my battery out for it to work again and then after I take the battery out I get text messages that were not being sent or emails. Does anybody know what I could do to fix it? HELP!!!

Here is a Free MarketApp "Quick Settings" that has a very convenient Data On/Off Feature as well as MANY other handy features - I use it daily and assigned it a Jump Key. (it also saves a shortcut to the notification bar)
