Default TMo TV app on BYOD?

Does anyone know if you can get the T-Mobile TV app for a non T-Mobile phone? Like a Galaxy Nexus? I have TMo service, I just didn't buy a phone sold by T-Mobile. So their apps are not pre-installed.

But since I am basically paying for TMo TV each month, it would be nice to be able to try it out. Anyone done this, or have any tips? I looked in the Play store, but couldn't find it.

Here's the link for T-Mobile TV. Also, T-Mobile TV HD. I don't know if it will work for you. If it doesn't you haven't missed much. They are not that great.

Checking the links, I find that it is incompatible with my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

I bet there is some way to sideload it. Does anyone have a link to the apk file?

The apk is available in xda-developers forum. You should be able to search "t-mobile tv" and get it. But from what I know, it does not work on non-T-Mobile phones

It shows incompatible with my TMobile Galaxy Exhibit 4G. However mine is rooted with a non Exhibit ROM. That's probably why it won't show.

When I had the Nexus S I tried side loading it and it wouldn't work.

If you are paying for it you just need to call Tmobile or use their website to cancel that service since you don't have the app to unsubscribe.

What I meant is it is included in the monthly 4g plans. If I had a different phone, I'd be able to use it without paying any more than I am now. So I am, in effect, paying for it.

I didn't know that. A year ago it was an extra $10 a month, even with a 4G plan
