Default Beware AT&T One X Bootloader cannot be unlocked

Just a warning to anyone planning to get the AT&T One X. You cannot unlock the bootloader. at least at this time.

There is an internet rage starting so they might allow it to be unlocked in the future. but just some info to anyone that would be interested in this.

They won't unlock it. We went down this rabbit hole with the htc vivid and while they did unlock it, it too long and the dev communit moved on. At that time htc said no more locked bootloaders...guess they lied. Htc needs to go away now. Samsung, google, moto, or apple are the only game in town.

This isn't HTC's fault, the XL is exclusive to AT&T and they're the ones who asked them not to provide the bootloader unlock. All recent HTC handsets have had an unlockable bootloader via htcdev.

You mention the Vivid, Wasn't that an AT&T exclusive too?

Yep...took a long time to get them to unlock it. It made for a great phone that no one wanted. I still have mine.
