Thumbs up

Download and install the HTC mobile phone drivers. [binary100100.googlecode.com/files/HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe]

Download the [ briefmobile.rainmotorsports.net/public/HTC/Evita/onxr.zip ]

Extract onrx.zip into a directory on your computer.

Plug your HTC One X into your computer via USB. Recommended: Plug your device’s USB cable into the back of your computer if you’re using a desktop PC.

Enable USB Debugging on your HTC One X. Settings >> Developer Options >>USB debugging (checked)

Double click root.bat/root-linux.sh/root-mac.sh to run the script.

Congratulations! Your device will reboot a number of times and then you will have full root access.

thats the instructions i found.... its not that hard all you do is open a file and it does it for u.... u dont have to enter any commands! Hope this helps!

Default Running script?

How did you get the root-mac.sh file to run? I have tried using the sh root-mac.sh and bash root-mac.sh and neither did anything. Do you remember the link? Any help would be awesome!

Yeah, I am using a mac right now and would prefer to use it over my desktop (windows) due to the babysitting windows 7 likes to do with the drivers. If you can give details on the root and unlock for mac, that would be great!
