Without knowing a bit more about the phone, and your location, I would be hard pressed to say whether it is just your AT&T connection, or something internally flawed within the phone itself. Have you tried calling the AT&T customer service line and speaking to a technician? A lot of times they are able to talk you through whatever the issue is, and get it fixed.
