Default Switch keyboards?

So, I've got the SixAxis controller app that allows me to use a BT PS3 controller for games. It is set up as a "keyboard". I'd like to make a Tasker profile to change from Swype (what I normally use) to the SixAxis "keyboard" when I start a game and then switch back when I quit the game. The profile part is simple, but I'm wondering if there is a better method for switching keyboards. Here's the task that I have now to switch from Swype to SixAxis:
1. Input->Input Method Select
2. Input->Dpad, Button Up Repeat Times 2
3. Input->Dpad, Button Press Repeat Times 1

Note that this may work different on your device depending on which keyboards you have enabled and which one is selected.

It works, but I'm wondering if there is a better way? Any thoughts?
