Mute GPS during a call

I've been looking for a way to mute the GPS voice navigation during a call. I've seen suggestions to mute the media but that didn't work for me. I'm using my car's Bluetooth during the call and when the navigation is enabled the voice is going through Bluetooth too. The media volume is muted but since the GPS voice goes through Bluetooth this doesn't help and I obviously can't mute Bluetooth. If I disable my Bluetooth then the GPS voice does go through media and it that would work but I'm always on my Bluetooth when driving. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to mute or turn off the GPS voice? I know it can be manually turned off by going through the options but I don't want to fumble around the menu during and after a call. I'd like to create a profile that would mute the GPS voice during a call and unmute when the call ends. This would be greatly appreciated.

Strange because when I'm connected to bt and a call comes in it automatically mutes the music.

I haven't tried it with music but what happens when you are using your Navigation? Also are you also using car mode?
