Help 1.5 to 2.1 (I just don't get it)

1. From the "about phone" menu chose firmware update. After a bit was told that there is no update available.

2. Downloaded HTC Sprint Hero MR 2.27.651.6.exe to my laptop. Connected Hero and laptop via USB. Ran exe and was told that there was a problem with the connection. SD card was mounted.

3. Copied HTC Sprint Hero MR 2.27.651.6.exe to SD card. Using Astro found HTC Sprint Hero MR 2.27.651.6.exe on SD card. However there is no way to open this as there is a message that exe is not supported.

It shouldn't be this hard.

Did you follow the directions on Sprint's website?
