Root 1.6 camera question

i really dont like the camera on 1.6 galaxy

how do i get samsung's twiz camera as it is better????

Unfortunately you don't. It's not compatable. This has been mentioned many times before...sorry man. It would be nice but no dice.

Yes, and it's actually much much faster then the samsung cam. Just has less features and settings.

You do know that Take5 (No-Twiz) uses the Behold II camera, right? ;->

well i'm not using take5 because of the foreclosure/crashes on the dialer

Had that with Warheads. Haven't with Take5 (Haven't had ANY FCs or FC/Waits on Take5 in fact)


Well, I take that back: Mosaic Mode on the camera appears to be broken on the 1.6s in general.

I use Take5 so I have the stock camera. I am thinking of going with the Galaxy rom though. Are there any differences in the qualify of the photos or videos? I really don't care about changing the white balance and all that stuff as long as the pics look ok.

Quality? No. You just lose all the extra features (Anti-shake, panoramic, "scenes" etc)

It's a plain Camera and Video Recorder. As bare bones as you can imagine.

well on my tests there is a change in quality when recording videos. galaxy's camcorder is very laggy and slow when you record videos, but on stock or w/o Twiz camcorder the videos are very fast almost HD imo, but there is definitely a change. On the other camera pictures are the same quality.

Wow, you sure are right. I just put my vids on my PC and compared. Galaxy vids are crap! This is a deal breaker for me. I am flashing 1.6 OTA with Tweaks today.
