Root 12 hours later....seriously

ive been trying to root my optimus m

i followed this tutiorial LG Optimus M Root 2.2.1 rootd0wn

and didnt seem to have a problem until i get to the part where your open the cmd prompt, type in cd C:\(path)\android-sdk-windows\platfrom-tools

you then type in adb shell and get a $
then type SU and get a #....

i get nothing but the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for 12 hours now..... someone please help me

When you type su you should press allow on your phone screen to give it permission on superuser. Hope this help

nothing happens on my phone... it just sits there.... i tried it in usd storage mode, and out of storage mode, i tried locked and un locked

Did you have debugging enabled?
Did you install by using the adb push, super user?

and i did it according to the instructions with adb install C:\OptimusRoot\MS690ZV4-root\Superuser.apk

should i do it adb push?

You should do adb install to install superuser and reboot after you push su busybox and install superuser.apk

adb push C:\OptimusRoot\MS690ZV4-root\su /data/local/tmp/
adb pushC:\OptimusRoot\MS690ZV4-root\busybox /data/local/tmp/
adb install C:\OptimusRoot\MS690ZV4-root\Superuser.apk


i do these three in order, then rebot
open .....android-sdk-windows\platfrom-tools
and run into the issue

make sure your screen does not time out so you can see when it ask you to accept superuser permission.
