Has anyone realized were are just pigs for HTC testing the 2.1.
I mean all the bugs we found they are fixing as a result of the time spent by US. No wonder why the official 2.1 release has been delayed, its full of crap and we are the ones sniffing it out, Squeak Squeak

I have no problem with that. I have the benefits of 2.1 and input as to what should be improved. What's wrong with that?

Fine by me, my phone is completely transformed it's almost like having a new phone. Especially since I have installed HelixLauncher I have never enjoyed my phone as much as I am now. And really the bugs don't effect me at all

I would have volunteered to be a beta tester given the opportunity so I am fine with that!

Did the same with BB's for years. It's part of the fun. If you feel like a pig then don't do it.

No evil... no one has realized that yet!? OMG!? No one even thought of the fact that maybe HTC was checking in on the forum to see what the complaints were and no one defiantly thinks that HTC uses the root teams work or the cooks work to create better, more efficient, updated in the future. Are you serious? Sorry for all the sarcasm but it is hard for me to believe...Wow. Same patterns with all OS's in history. Longhorn released to get field testing done, Win7. We get to see the latest and play but understand the price is not having a perfect product. Beta testers.

I stated this a couple days ago, what better way to QA the ROM? real world users who are going to torture test the build and tear it apart.

I'm fine with that if it means helping them speed the process up.

I believe that this build has been in Verizon's hands for quite some time. If they are using us as guinea pigs, then Verizon would be the ones. If either HTC or Verizon leaked this on purpose, then thank you. I'm enjoying the release even with the minor bugs.

I thought the same thing. That verizon released the leak and are just kicked back reading forums and making changes as complaints come up, and that's why ota is delayed. Sorry frisco, I couldn't hold out any longer. 2.1 is so much better than stock 1.5. I didn't have any issues with 1.5 until recently and that was horrible lag. I probably had too much on my phone, but there is no comparing 1.5 to 2.1. 2.1 is a million times better imo. The new market Is awesome, and call quality is amazing.

anyone see the issue on latest 2.1 where bluetooth share is running and draining the battery heavily upon bootup? My phone was actually warm while in "sleep" out on the desk. I had to go into Settings > Applications > Manage and force stop Bluetooth Share.

HOW? Are you submitting the bugs to HTC/Verizon for review?

Come on man. You don't think HTC trolls the forums keeping tabs on the bugs that we find? If you have a leak as big as this, it gets back to a big company like HTC REAL QUICK.

    Here is my speculation,

It's a win win win for them. They "leak" it out, don't pay us, don't have to replace our phones if they crap out because of it, and they get to see what bugs thousands of people find using thousands and thousands of combinations of different apps and settings, rather then just the handful of under-payed testers at their office.

I've been thinking about this and I think that we may be giving them way too much credit for being so proactive as to leak a file and actually fix the issues that are found on forums. But if they are, then it's a very smart move. Microsoft figured this out with Windows and various Office builds except that they don't hide it. They give betas to a few million and automatically collect data on bugs.
