this morning, at random, i woke my phone up and unlocked the screen after being in my packet and the news and weather widget's grey background is gone and the news and weather is simply in white text over the top of my background.

i actually like it, but just wanted to know if this was right?

So the sort of slate greyish looking background for the widget is gone and it's just text floating there? I don't think it's meant to do that.

    Mine still looks like this:

I had the news & weather apk from the Nexus before I updated and it had a clear background. The official 2.1 now has a grey background. I'd love to be able to go back.

Sorry don't mean to threadjack, but nstallion what are you using to show those meters and the battery percentage in the info bar?

    Thanks, and once again sorry.

I am not having the same issue but it is one regarding my news and weather app..when I touch a story in the news feed to load it, it acts as if it is going to open it and then a box comes up that says, "Notice Javascript is currently turned off." Any ideas as to how to turn my javascripting ON?

The meters are from Audiomanager widget.

The battery percentage is an option you can turn on within Cyanogenmod ROM. There are other ROMs and themes that can do it though.

Im going to further thread jack and bump this thread and ask if theres any apps that show the battery meter without rooting or using a ROM?
