They do - other devs are using Chevys kernels now for their ESE53 derivative builds as well.

So, it looks like I have 3 different ROMs to evaluate to see which I like the best....

    DLing now.

I moved to this this afternoon when my ultimate6.1 ese53 melted on me.... shortly after i realized he released 6.3... although i think my issues were jit related which changes nothing with the 6.3 update.

So far... im running great... i pushed the 1.1 kernel and it's smooth. .. no FC's no battery pulls.

One observation... and this is in general... not really pertaining to any specific rom. Live backgrounds is not altogether stable...it eats memory... burns battery faster... runs hotter...and generally is buggy and slows things down more. Not to say it's not cool...and still runs fairly smooth... because it does... but I am finding more and more that I'm better off without it.

No, no issues with maps. The ROM seems stable and fast... just as usual! It's a keeper! :)

You know, I didn't wipe the phone before I flashed Nandroid. I went back to the older ROM and I will try that before I go from Nandroid.

My issue was that Maps said it was no longer recognized, and failed to load from the Market.

    And clear the cache.
Use BB instructions, they are thorough.

I'm using Pete's ESE53 v0.5. Is this SS much different from that? Would anybody be able to provide some screenshots?

It didn't look any different. Why would it matter anyway? Do you stick to the default themes on ROMs?

Yes, I stick to the default themes. I haven't tried metamorph yet.

    Maps working after wiping.

Chevy didn't have instructions to wipe, so I wasn't sure if I had to since I was coming from the last build before that.

Does theming work with these new builds? I found that when I updgraded to the 2.1 ROMS that the themes out there did not work. Does anyone have links for themes that work on 2.1?

I just loaded this room and I went to SetCPU and max MHZ can be set at 550. but on the instalation notes I saw that it comes with a 5 slot kernel to set it up from 125-1200 MHZ. How do you enable the kernel? do I have to change to a different profile on the SetCPU? I'm sorry in advance I'm a noob still on the OC deparment :p

When you first run SetCPU after installing this romkernel you need to go to menu and click Device Selection and choose Auto Detect to get higher than stock sppeds detected.

Call me old-fashioned, but I refuse to flash any ROM where the developer won't even post a screenshot.

Wiping pretty much clears all your Google accounts, wipes all your apps and settings - so if you want to keep anything, better to back up first (Titanium, MyBackupPro, etc).

Yea, I'm a little late! ;) Being on 3 other sites keeps me pretty busy - but I want to make sure you get support here as well if you are going to try my ROM.

Thanks! To me, supporting my users/clients is just as important as cranking out a new ROM every 2 days (oh wait, more important ;))
