IN ORDER TO RUN ADB COMMANDS IN CMD COPY
    [ADB.EXE,
    AdbWinApi.dll & AdbWinUsbApi.dll]

FROM YOUR SUPERONECLICK FOLDER TO YOUR
    /WINDOWS/SYSTEM32

Basically 1.6 root was of no use

2.1 gives you really the benefits of your rooted phone

things it offers (thanks to the xda masters)

    1. Xrecovery
    2. App2sd
    3. JIT
    4. THEMES
    5. and many more (I know but they are quite risky, I need to try them first)

    1. XRECOVERY - THE BEST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO YOUR PHONE :D

    2. APP2SD - NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE ITS GREATNESS

    3. JIT - BOOST UR PHONE SPEED

      DOWNLOAD THIS

      STEP 1 - >

      type
      type in this code
PS : MAKE AN EXTRA COPY OF THIS FILE YOU'LL NEED IT LATER

      STEP 2 - >
edit the build.prop (with help of notepad)

      find and change this:

at the end of the whole mess (yes it is):

      save the changes..

      STEP 3 - >

now extract the downloaded file to SDCARD

      FOLLOW THESE STEPS

after that you must copy and overwrite the mod built.prop (the one which you added and edited) to folder
      and the original build.prop to
      LAST STEP

      enable JIT

      run->cmd
      type adb shell
      type su

and your phone will reboot with JIT enable.

if you want to disable JIT
      Code:

      type adb shell
      type su

  5. suhel28

    suhel28 Well-Known Member

when you type su it should show #

if it isn't than the following maybe the possibilities...

    1.you haven't rooted your phone.
    2. you don't have superuser installed on your phone
    3. you didn't allow superuser permissions for your adb (usually when you type su a popup will appear on your phone asking permissions)

  15. suhel28

    suhel28 Well-Known Member

    You don't have to...

simply put & replace the busybox that is inside the zip file to

    /system/bin

Xrecovery is backing up everything as I type! :)

    Suhel,I ve got one question!
Does Apps2SD needs partitions in order to work ok?
Whats the advantages of creating partitions?
Can we just use one and be done with it?
    N.

    PS.Its already 6.30 A M here so I m calling it a night. :p
Tomorrow is JIT/APPS2SD and application installing time!

Partition is required as if you don't do it... your card won't mount as usb storage... the pc will recognize whole of your card as system storage :)

GL Blitz! Remember to format your SD first :)

Ok! Got it! Thank you Suhel for the info! :)

Hm,I still need some help regarding
    this procedure though...
Sorry, bear with me and treat me as
    completely mobile illiterate! :p

For Apps2SD I need to do the following:

1.Format the SD Card using the PC.
    2.Create Partitions.
    How many? What sizes?
Which partition should I use for which use?
Should I use for example a GB for apps
and the rest 14 GB for SD storage?
3.Can I use xRecovery to create those partitions?

    Thank you in advance! :)

    1. ok, I did it by phone settings :)
    2. 2 partitions:
    a: a FAT32 - regular SD card
    b: a ex2 partition, recognized by linox(&android)
    3. Don't think so. Better use
    SD card partitioning - XDA-Developers

Just be patient and read carefully. You can always reflash the x8 2.1 rooted image if something is wrong. Or you can make a xRecovery backup

    W T F ?!? 40 min for an aswer?

    LOL Just kidding! :D

Well,I m making partitions using MiniTool s Partition software.

The files that were already on the SD Card should be copied back to the first new FAT32 partition right?
Also the same goes for the apps2Sd script file?

    @Suhel:

Nope, I just have a lot of patience and will ;). And let's not forget about the help you gave us.

    @Blitz:

Yes. And remember that nothing from your former card is important. It creates it's necessary files by itself. Only copy music, pictures an whatever you know is important.

The ext2 partition you won't be able to see in windows. It's ok.

How about 5 min anwer? :)
