just like the title says, 2.1 rooted running dc13 rom freezes using any music player, freezes after about 5 minutes, locks up phone to the point of battery pull. anyone have any ideas why? i tried with some other roms too, jit, joeykrim variations, caulkin, little, etc...all does the same things

I recall dc03 and dd13 and the release de03, but I'm not up on dc13 unless you mean a rom made by dc13 on sdx? If you've flashed all those roms successfully and still have the same problem, I'd guess it's in hardware. You may want to flash to stock and visit the nearest Sprint repair center.

dc13 had specific instructions on how to flash.flash back to stock de03 and start over and go step by step i ran it for about 2 days and had not problems at all.just make sure you flash back to stock and do not apply a backup you need to manually reset up the phone from scratch.

i thought i made a mistake, so i tried and followed the instructions word for word, and it still freezes, only with music players, anything else is fine. i dont think its the DC13, because it happens with any rom i flash with, i just use/like DC13 the most. i was thinking hardware too, unfortunately i never used the music player until after. i think im gonna try it once more, but one question. last time i wiped, i used the reset from the vol down, green call and red call buttons (same ones used to flash). is there another way to clear everything that works better?

flash the sprint update (with one of the custom recoveries) and that will nuke everything.
