i tried to get them working once before, but it's been awhile since i tried, is there a walk-through that has the correct steps and files to get these things working again?

My Android SDK has been working since 2.0, and has never broken. 2.2, and still werks here.

Can't find device. Something about having to install a package to get sdk and 2.2 to work together. It's not working on my work computer...haven't tried or on my home computer. It was working fine before.

Joe you didn't have to upgrade anything for froyo? I do everything I need to with root explorer but if I need it, I want to know it works.

Well you do need to go to the google site and update the files (they have all kinds of documentation on how to update)... there are new SDKs for 2.1 and 2.2... So that might be where you are running into problems, you might also have to re-grant permissions with SU on your phone the first time you run it (make sure you have your screen on so you catch the pop up from SU, this was my problem when I was first trying to run it on a 2.2 rom)...

the old sdk works fine with froyo for me. I would try getting the newest one though.

Are you sure you have debug enabled on the Phone (Menu->Settings->Applications->Development->USB Debugging enabled)?? I was using the r7/2.1 SDK initially with my FroYo/2.2 but needed to upgdate the SDK to r8/2.2 when I needed to push some libs from emulator to Froyo Droid... and either way Debugging needs to be enabled Or you Won't find the Device...

Yes debug is on. The latest sdk I see is 6...that's what I used to upgrade which I was able to finally do...where is 7 or 8?

so i finally figured it out....some reason, I had to reload my USB driver....it seems to be working on my work computer, i'll try it at home...reason i asked this in the first place was that i did everything that i was supposed to do, and since I was seeing the phone on both computers, i didn't think it was a driver issue, but apparently it was...its things like this that make me feel 12 again.....

thanks for all your ideas and suggestions!
