2.2 Froyo withdrawn for HTC Desire on Three?

I bought a new Desire from Three (UK) on Tuesday - and wa sup and running with 2.2 by evening. Had to return the handset because of a fault on the screen and today cannot update the new one to 2.2. Rang Three and they tell me the update t0 2.2 on Three has been withdrawn (they say on advice from HTC) because of problems on the phones...

Does anyone know what is going on?

I'm with 3UK and have been running 2.2 since it came out OTA, mine is unbranded and unlocked, 3UK sent it direct from HTC when they had shortage of stock problems due to the ash cloud

Wonder what the problems are, rumours are the signal is not that good after the update, sounds a bit iPhoney 4 to me.

they told me that to ages ago that the htc desire would never get it as its withdrawn but thos people on the fone dont have a clue they r reading old imformation
