I just did the 2.2 update & now my phone is stuck on the Motorola splash icon. How long does this last? It's been an hour already.

it will probably last until the battery dies. try pulling the battery.

if that still lasts, look for the 2.2 sbf, and flash that to the phone. looks like you're stuck with a paperweight at the moment.

I pulled the battery & no change. Still stuck on the Motorola splash page. I'm not sure how to do what you describe?

    Thx!

Had the same thing happen(as did many others)

Try leaving the battery out for at least 10-15 minutes and see if that helps.

This is a known problem with 2.2 for the Droid X. Motorola is aware of it as well. If it does not reboot with the battery pulls, then flash the 2.2 SBF from rootwiki.com. If not return the phone to Verizon tomorrow.

Thx everyone! I pulled & reset the battery & let it charge overnight. Checked it this am & it powered up with no issues & the 2.3.15 update has been installed & is working.
