    Hello, All,

Please feel free to direct me to relevant threads instead of answering questions that must have been answered before. I searched but couldn't find anything.

I'm considering buying a Nexus One locally through Craigslist, and I'd like to know....

    1) ...how to tell if the phone is the T-Mobile version rather than the AT&T version.
    2) ...how to tell what version of Android the phone is running.

    Thanks!

    Mike

From How to Tell Which nexus One you have (AT&T, T-Mobile Etc) - Android Help

    There are two ways:
    (A.)

    1) In the phone dial pad... *#*#4636#*#* (testing menu)
    2)select Phone information
    3) hit the Menu key > Select radio band > [USA Band, or any other country] > OK to confirm

    (B.)

Pull the battery and look for the PB # which is located just below the IMEI, S/N, and P/N #

it'll work. It will connect to either carrier just fine, but if you have a tmobile version with ATT simcard, your data speed will be using Edge, and vice versa. the phone will connect to BOTH carriers.

Yeah you're right. You will only see an edge connection. So the "A" thing doesn't tell you anything substantial. You could be in a Edge only area and you wouldn't see the difference :D

    Thnx for correcting me :D
