2 UNREAD MESSAGES...but its really 1?

My phone keeps telling my i have 2 unread text messages but every time i check i only have one. does anybody know why it does that?

It's probably in another mail folder under that email (deleted, saved, sent or whatever).

I actually have been wondering that too! I've been getting it a lot lately. Not everytime but I do get it.

Are you using the stock messaging app or market one?
If you download a market one, you have to turn off the stock apps notification, or you will get double notified every time.

im using the normal sms that it came with

i checked all my emails and sutff and nothing its nothing big but i mean paying 500 for the phone id expect it to be flawless

Nothing is flawless. Even if you paid 1000 for a phone.

Easiest fix, and I'm dead serious, download handcent. Much better than standard app, I actually like the look of the standard app better, not hard to customize handcent back to looking a lot like the stock app. Turn off notifications on stock app, turn on notifications on handcent, that should solve your problem. If it doesn't at least you know it's a network or hardware or OS issue, and not an issue with the stock app.
